Kylie started the Chic Geek because she wanted to see more women celebrate technology and discover their inner nerd. With a background in public relations and branding, and a passion for startups, Kylie guides the strategic vision of Chic Geek.
Cynthia leads the strategic partnerships and daily operations of Chic Geek as the Executive Director. She’s spent over ten years working in startups including three enterprise software companies. Professional curiosity has led to her to a variety of roles in tech including marketing, product management, operations and client success.
MEETNTECH LOGISTICS COORDINATOR
Kathleen helps run our MeetnTech events. She ensures that our events are a friendly opportunity for our community to connect and learn beginner-friendly intros to various technical topics. Coming from a startup background she knows all too well about rolling up her sleeves and diving into problems and helping out when others need assistance.
MEETNTECH LOGISTICS COORDINATOR
Katie helps run MeetNTech - from working with the venue to organizing volunteers to support the event. She is an iOS developer at Aimsio and long time Chic Geek attendee.
GEEK STORE COORDINATOR & CONTENT CONTRIBUTOR
Melanie is our Community Engagement Manager responsible for building relationships between Chic Geek and the STEM community. Her past experience as a reporter and marketing has lead her to the non profit world, bringing the CG story to life!
Nicole is responsible for managing four pillars within the external communications team for Chic Geek. She has a Bachelor of Commerce, specializing in marketing, and uses her knowledge to support the newsletter, website, paid media efforts and geek store.
Jane is a Culture Strategist and a Certified Change Management Professional (CCMP) who is leading the People Pillar at Chic Geek. Jane has effected change in both tech and non-tech industries and is committed to delivering value and understanding through proven principles that engage, inform and prepare people for the future.
Brandi has a wealth of experience blending the art and science of data and business strategy. She spent 13 years at WestJet working her way up to Senior Manager - Revenue Analytics. She recently moved to Enmax where she continues to drive improvements through data-driven solutions. She is a voracious learner, and is completing her MBA. She is eager to share her experiences.

Kaitlin is the co-ordinator of our Social Media, running various Chic Geek platforms including Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn. As an enthusiastic woman in STEM she’s always looking for as many ways as possible to make her voice heard!
Interesting Fact: Kaitlin is a rugby player! She’s always up to throw a ball around, but only backwards of course!
SOCIAL MEDIA MANAGER & CONTENT CONTRIBUTOR
Carrie is a UX Designer and Front-end Developer dedicated to improving lives. She supports digital literacy and initiatives that promote technical education by teaching, blogging, and planning events. If she's not tweeting about tech, she's bicycling, cooking, or with family.

Angela is a website Project Coordinator at Instalogic Inc. As a recent Computer Science graduate from the UofC, she is very inspired with the world of tech, as well as Cosplay. With her curiosity & creativity, she hopes to bring something new to advocating for women in technology through the Chic Geek!
PARTNER DEVELOPMENT COORDINATOR
Kaitlyn is a partner development coordinator at Chic Geek. She is responsible for connecting with the community through events and managing relationship on behalf Chic Geek for in-kind sponsorships for Geeky Summit, MeetnTech and our Mentorship program.
Jayeeta is a Project Manager and a technology enthusiast. She has spent the majority of her career in the fashion industry, gaining experiences in areas such as leadership and project management. She volunteers extensively with many Calgary's tech and non profit communities. Jayeeta enjoys photography and thrives in getting the job done.
Ivana's role at Chic Geek is to help mentees build a network of their own by connecting them with like-minded and experienced leaders in technology and entrepreneurship. She is a recent graduate in business technology management at the University of Calgary and spends most of her day putting out fires in IT at a local power company.
BLOG CONTENT CONTRIBUTOR
Nadirah is an Editor for Nasdaq and puts her editing and writing skills to the test as a content contributor for the Chic Geek blog. She is almost always photographed interacting with food during social events - it used to bother her, but now she fully embraces it.
PARTNER DEVELOPMENT COORDINATOR
As a Partner Development Coordinator, Erika values building strong personal connections with others and believes that every person has something to teach you. Erika also values continuous learning and personal development. She lives an active lifestyle to maintain high energy levels and a positive outlook.
Nika has passion for technology so her days are always spent with learning something new; from learning how to code to exploring techniques for business analysis and product management. She is a QA Analyst by day and fearless Chic Geek Data Coordinator by weekends. Her favourite things include traveling, sushi and occasional glass of wine!

Hannah is a recent graduate from the UofC and loves all things Social Media. She's eager and excited to share what she has learned with the Chic Geek community. In her free time she enjoys baking and petting as many dogs as she can.
Harlene is a project management and communications professional working in applied research in the post-secondary education sector. Harlene is responsible for leading the activities of the Programs team with a focus on demonstrating the value and impact of Chic Geek’s commitment to supporting women at the intersection of technology and entrepreneurship.
Charlotte works as a Search Strategist at Critical Mass. In her free time, she enjoys reading, dim sum, chocolates, latte, and Netflix. At Chic Geek, Charlotte helps connect experts to our community as they share their experiences in the tech sector.
Charlie is a UX Consultant at DevFacto and a freelance web developer. When she's not hovering 'Ctrl + Z' on her keyboard, you can find her walking her dog and practicing yoga
DATA & ANALYTICS COORDINATOR
Julie works in the Data and Analytics team to help support the MeetnTech events through
gathering and analyzing event data for strategic planning. Her passion for numbers, excel
spreadsheets, and problem solving is what gets her up in the morning. When she has free time,
you can find her in the mountains snow, rain or shine, wishing it was Middle Earth.
EVENT PHOTOGRAPHER & IT COORDINATOR
Riane is a Software developer at WestJet specializing in front end development. She has a passion for UI/UX Design and is innately curious about the conditions that drive user behaviour. When she’s not designing or coding she can be found snowboarding down the slopes of the Rockies, creating costumes for Cosplay, playing D&D in someone’s basement or trying out something new.
GEEKY SUMMIT SPEAKER MANAGER
Kelly is a Business Development Specialist at VizworX who is passionate about innovation and trying new things. With Chic Geek, she helps plan and execute Geeky Summit. Her favourite things include being outdoors and a warm cup of tea.
Pam's two favourite kinds of events are house parties and productive meetings, so she's a natural fit to work on a conference as jam-packed with fun and learning as Geeky Summit. As Logistics Manager, she helps plan, organize, and execute our annual conference.
MENTORSHIP LOGISTICS COORDINATOR
Beatriz is an IT professional with 15+ years in the software industry, dedicating the last 10 years to development, ERP implementation and project & portfolio management working within many diverse industries and roles A skilled professional educated in Information Technology, holding an MBA in general administration and PMP certification. Passionate about innovation and disruptive technology.
A tech, travel and design enthusiast, Kristin oversees the marketing initiatives for Geeky Summit. Content creator by day, her editorial background has her curating creative concepts for great audiences and searching for the next great story.
Jasmine's passions lie in humanitarianism and volunteerism, exhibited by her years of experience working within non-profits and charitable organizations as a frontline as well as support. "Eclectic", her hobbies include researching (AKA being nosy), JRPGs, writing fiction, being a plan-nerd, wordplay, and being silent but cheeky.

Jason is responsible for managing the analytics and insights work within Chic Geek. He is helping Chic Geek grow by providing data and analysis to help our leaders make evidence-based decisions.

Tanisha is a project manager at Renoworks Software. She was born in India, has lived in the UK, the US and is new to Canada. She is always striving to solve problems creatively, be organised, work with passion & do good for society.

A Data Scientist, Digital Marketing by day, and an A&I Manager and Robotics Enthusiast by night. Shelly contributes her digital strategy, data analytics, and research skills to help analyze how we can improve Chic Geek’s online and offline assets.

Kristie is a software engineer who loves innovating new ideas and driving improvements. Striving to always make a difference, she aims to expand Chic Geek’s social media reach and engagement. For fun, she enjoys rock climbing, board games and looking at cute pets on Instagram.
In the Marketing Coordinator role Alana’s main focus is the Chic Geek newsletter. Coming from a radio broadcasting background, succinct and effective communication is a passion for her. Alana gets excited about solving problems and creating masterpieces.
VP PARTNER DEVELOPMENT
Benjamin is a versatile leader that enjoys building and working with high performing teams and cultures. He is deeply passionate about people development, workplace diversity and the technology sector. Chic Geek a natural home for him!
Ainsley is the Mobile Product Manager at Clio and has previously worked with startups PetroFeed, Chaordix and Accurve. Ainsley served as volunteer Executive Director/Co-Founder of nonprofit The Princess Shop. She spent 5 years on the Enactus U of S Board (3 years as Chair) and 3 years on The Princess Shop Board.
Alisha serves as director and secretary for Chic Geek. She is a business law associate at Gowling WLG, specializing in corporate finance, M&A and securities. She has a special interest in assisting clients in the technology sector. She is a dancer, painter and plays a folk drum!
A self-confessed science and technology-geek, Margaret has spent over 20 years connecting innovative products and ideas with like-minds and markets. Her Political Science degree from Dalhousie University and desire to always know more propel her love of life-long learning.
Mike has a background in computer science and the humanities. He’s passionate about innovation and entrepreneurship, intentional culture design, systems thinking and gamification. Mike is also a husband and proud father of two daughters.
Alison is a trusted strategist, connector and community builder with 20 years experience working in fast-paced environments where curiosity is embraced and managed risks are encouraged. She is Vice President of External Affairs at TELUS Spark. She is committed to helping the city meets its aspirations for innovation, creativity and sustainability.
Kirstie’s passion is in unlocking new technology potential to help solve significant global problems. As a Senior Product Strategist, she helps new technologies achieve success faster from product concept to market traction. She helps grow and support Alberta’s technology ecosystem.
Allison is an accountant by trade, and during the daytime hours you can find her crunching numbers at local software company, Benevity. She has a strong passion for technology, women’s rights and STEAM education. She also plays the ukelele!
Elena is the Co-Founder and Chief Technology Officer at TerraHub. Elena, as a computer scientist and ecosystem builder, is a driving force in educating corporate executive teams and business owners in understanding how Blockchain will improve productivity and strengthen profitability.
A curious senior human resource leader working, researching and writing in the tech sector in Canada and abroad. She has a passion for helping people and teams discover their full potential and embrace the future of work. She loves to be brave and adventurous, travels, scuba dives, road cycles and skis.
Anna serves as Director and Secretary at Chic Geek. She is a corporate law associate at Blake, Cassels & Graydon LLP in Calgary, where she specializes in M&A transactions. Anna has a burgeoning interest in the technology industry and is passionate about promoting the presence of women across all industry sectors. In Anna's spare time she enjoys travelling and playing soccer!
